The 2010 Mas del Serral is a remarkable sparkling wine that comes from xarel·lo and bastard negre vines that have been planted together on the Clos del Serral plot since 1954. It has a unique microclimate due to its location, its gentle rising slope and the fact that it is protected by the Serral forest.

Raventós i Blanc is located in Catalonia and has an unprecedented history. The family farm, where the wines are produced today, has been owned by the Raventós family since 1497 – one of the most famous wine families in the area. Today, Pepe Raventós, the 21st generation, is in charge. Dedication and ambition are in the genes, because Pepe wants to be one of the best producers of sparkling wine in the world. Raventós i Blanc does this by always putting quality first: local grape varieties, biodynamics, low yields, long sur lie ripening, etc. In 2012, Pepe Raventós decided it was time to leave DO Cava. This coincided with the decision to market the wines with the Conca del Rui Anoia designation of origin. “Thanks to the climate, traditional grape varieties, geology and centuries-old traditions in this area, Conca del Riu Anoia, the most authentic sparkling wines in the world can be made here,” said Pepe. It's not an official DO yet, but that is the ultimate goal. The Raventós family played a major role in the creation and raising of Cava. It was Josep Raventós Fatjó who made the first sparkling wine from local grape varieties in 1872, using the same method as Champagne. In the century that followed, the Raventós family founded the Codorníu cava house, which grew into a large empire. In addition, the family was also partly responsible for the creation and promotion of DO Cava.
