Tommie's take on a classic style of beer. A blend of fresh and aged Flemish brown ale. 60% of the blend was aged for over 1,5 years in a red wine foudre and after that the beer was aged for another year in bordeaux wine barriques. He also blended in a few Bourbon barrels of stronger Flemish brown ale to give the blend a hint of American oak.

In the aroma you will detect caramel, dried figs, mellow sweet tobacco, caramelized peaches with some more fresher hay and funk and a slightly zesty and fresh aroma. When tasting Oud Bruin you will experience quite pronounced tannins, a lemony sourness, with some caramel sweetness and a very clean finish with a dry woody aftertaste.

At this moment the beer is well balanced and great to drink. But with a few months up to 2 years the flavours will be more subtle and merged together.

Store Tommie's beers upright or lying down in a cool, dark place. Our beers are best enjoyed between 12 and 14 degrees Celsius.
