Hakushika Junmai Ginjo 'Gold'
A refined Junmai Ginjo-style sake from the esteemed brewery of Ichishima in Niigata—Japan’s revered sake region. The “Gold” designation reflects a higher polish rate and a polished taste profile. This sake shines with bright melon, ripe pear, and soft floral aromas, underpinned by elegant rice sweetness and delicate minerality.
Founded in 1662 in Nada, Japan’s most famous sake region, Hakushika has a long-standing reputation for high-quality sake. The name means “White Deer”, a symbol of longevity and good fortune in Eastern and Western cultures alike.
The brewery uses the renowned Miyamizu (“God’s Water”) and has been a pioneer in polishing sake rice with water-powered mills—giving Nada a historical edge in sake brewing.
Hakushika combines centuries of tradition with a spirit of innovation. Their motto? Sake is not made—it’s lovingly raised.
