Raquis is the personal project of winemaker Andrés Vignoni, who is known for crafting wines that express the purity of Mendoza’s mountain vineyards. With Raquis, he focuses on individual high-altitude sites where poor soils, bright sunlight and cool nights shape wines with tension, energy and a real sense of place.
Altamira — one of the most celebrated sub-regions in the Uco Valley — is defined by its chalky river stones and sandy loam. These soils naturally limit yields and bring an unmistakable mineral character to the final wine. Raquis Altamira is a blend of Malbec and Cabernet Franc harvested by hand and vinified with a light touch to preserve freshness, detail and the unmistakable Altamira signature.
