Raquis is the ambitious project of winemaker Andrés Vignoni and his team, built around ultra-high-altitude vineyards in Mendoza’s Uco Valley. Their name — “raquis” (Greek for backbone) — reflects the aim of structure, purity and a minimal-intervention style. The Gualtallary parcel reaches 1,350–1,500 m above sea level, on soils rich in calcium-carbonate and alluvial deposits. Here the vines yield small berries with intense flavour, crisp acid and mineral drive.
