Raquis Las Bases by Andres Vignoni
A vibrant and expressive red from Argentina’s new wave of winemaking. Raquis Las Bases blends mountain-grown grapes into a fresh, medium-bodied wine full of energy, bright red fruit and savoury spice. A great choice for people who love characterful reds without heaviness.
Raquis was founded by winemaker Andrés Vignoni in Mendoza, Argentina, with a vision to capture purity of terroir across the region’s high-altitude vineyards. Las Bases is part of Raquis’s core range, drawing fruit from vineyards in both Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley, including Las Compuertas, Agrelo, Chacayes and Altamira zones — elevations from approx. 1,050 m to 1,500 m. The name “Las Bases” refers to the foundational idea of structure and purity (“raquis” meaning spine or backbone) that guides the wine’s philosophy.
